Late August is truly when Hope Springs Eternal for college football fans. Unfortunately on the eve of the season opener for the Weber State Wildcats, the expectations for Mickey Mental’s Wildcats are the lowest they’ve been in about a decade. Over the last few seasons, Weber has gone from the glory days of being a perennial top 25 team who won 4 Big Sky Championships under the leadership of the legendary Jay Hill, to a team with a losing record, dropping games to the like of Idaho State…at home...Ugh. My heart, my gut, and my brain are all giving me different predictions for what is going to happen this season. Let’s take a look at each game. Game 1 - @ James Madison JMU has continued their winning ways since jumping up to FBS. They are good. In fact, they are the heavy favorite to win the Sun Belt Championship this year.
